Manage Coordination Request Pauses

Manage Coordination Requests / Manage Coordination Request Pauses

Once a request is accepted as complete and accurate by all impacted incumbents, incumbents have 60 days within which to evaluate the request and issue an evaluation decision. However, an impacted incumbent can propose pausing the 60-day timeline for evaluating and completing a request. The clock can only be paused by mutual incumbent-licensee agreement. If the licensee does not concur with the pause, impacted incumbents are still obligated to provide an official response within the 60-day timeline. If both parties agree that informal discussions would be helpful, pausing the clock releases an incumbent from being forced to formally decline or condition the pending coordination request within the 60-day timeline. For more information about timelines for incumbent actions, see Coordination Request Timelines.

Only one pause at a time can be in place for a coordination request. After a pause expires or is ended, another pause can be initiated for that coordination request.
